SIT & SEW

This term we are running a sit & sew day on a Thursday. Feel free to bring your sewing machine, hand sewing or knitting... relax, enjoy some good company & get some projects finished!!

COST:    FREE

TIME:     Anytime throughout the day from 10am - 5pm.

In Michelle's classes you are able to make any of her quilts. There are so many beautiful quilt patterns to choose from ... you won't be able to stop at one. Michelle is a lovely teacher. Very knowledgeable, experienced & patient, you will love her classes.

NEUNO FELTING

Neuno Felting with Jan Preston, a stress free & fabulous workshop. Neuno felting or Spider Hand Felting is a traditional craft of felting using natural fleece soap & water to create organic soft & natural fibre. Suitable for beginners.

NEIL CHISHOLM

Neil is teaching his gorgeous wall hanging 'A walk in the park'. This class is an introduction to machine applique & machine quilting & is run over two days.

CREATIVE IMAGERY

This is an original design class which covers many differing aspects to produce a creative wall hanging or innovative quilt inspired from a personal photo or drawing. Jan will guide you through the techniques she has learnt, developed and experimented with.

This class will cover colour & colour theory, design concepts & development, backgrounds, discovery, layering & machine applique, machine techniques including stitch imagery, stitch painting, solvy, couching & complete cloth will be covered.

A monthly class (March-November) which will cover new design elements with each class, whilst completing and developing techniques covered in the previous months.

Knowledge of your machine is necessary.

Suitable for beginners, intermediate to advanced students.

Stunning!! This quilt is designed & taught by Neil Chisholm. This class is run over three days. The technique for this quilt is machine applique. The last day of this class includes machine quilting.

GRISWOLD QUILT TRIBUTE

Robyn Falloon's inspiration came from a gorgeous Shelbourne Museum masterpiece and features masses of flowery sprays, fruits, birds & butterflies in this queen size quilt. We are excited to have this beautiful needle turn appliqued quilt running throughout the year.

JANE AUSTIN QUILT

We are delighted to have Sandra Baldwin teaching this lovely quilt. A choice of two variations, one with a large feature panel diamond in the centre (Reproduction Jane Austin), or all over diamonds (floral diamonds).

A COUNTRY DANCE

This gorgeous BOM quilt is designed & taught by Neil Chisholm. Sometimes BOM quilts can be quite daunting.. our solution is to create managable sized, small regular classes to help you achieve the whole quilt. It is a great way to learn machine applique, & create a quilt with Neil's expert guidance block by block throughout the year. This class is run on the last Wednesday of each month from February - November. A Block of the month kit is avaliable for this class if required at an additional cost.

BOTANICA

Irene has designed this most beautiful quilt of appliqued leaves. This quilt has created lots of interest in the shop with many different textured leaves. Irene will teach you how to needle turn these blocks over several days, so that you can understand all the techniques involved.

BEAUREGARD'S FOLLY

Designed & taught by Neil Chisholm this quilt is just gorgeous. Nine "Rose of Sharon" type blocks with pretty pinks & a scalloped border make up this quilt which is machine appliqued.

This class with Neil Chisholm will teach you how to quilt feathers with your normal sewing machine. Have you always wanted to learn how to quilt those fantastic feathers all over your quilts?? Well then Neil is your man. The morning part of this class will be learning all sorts of quilting fillers, then on to the feathers. Some previous experience & practice required.

FEATURE CHANNEL QUILT Sandra Baldwin teaches this lovely quilt over three days. On point nine patches & strips of your favorite fabric make up this quilt. Sandra is a wonderful teacher, very patient & experienced in all aspects of patchwork & quilting. You can expect to gain a solid understaning of the basic principals, which will enable you to go on & create more & more difficult quilts.

This class is fantastic.  At some stage in your quilting life everyone should do this class. It is amazing how much better your quilts come together with some expert tuition in this area, you won't look back. Choose a morning or afternoon class. This is a very popular class.
